Karen Corbin-Wheeler, Director

Karen Corbin-Wheeler has served on the Chamber Board of Directors for four non-consecutive terms, beginning in 2004. She has served two terms as president of the Chamber. She is a member of Community United Methodist Church and has been the organist for over 50 years. She is a member of Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority over 50 years and a member of the Black Gold Jubilee Committee over 15 years.Karen has been the accompanist for the Living Christmas Tree for 28 years; Young Singers of Palm Beach Choir of the Glades three years; Missoula Children’s Theatre 23 years. She has been employed at Glades Health Care Center for 18 years as the Medical Records Coordinator.

Steven Courson, Director

Steven Courson is a Belle Glade native born and raised. He attended high school at Glades Day School and is a graduate of the Class of 2008. Steven attended Edison State College and received an AA in General Business and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance with a minor in Business Management from Florida Gulf Coast University. He moved back to Belle Glade in May 2013, and began working with the family business at Belle Glade Wholesale. His lifelong aspiration has been to serve the local glades area professionally and through community service.

Jacqueline Guerra, Director

Jacqueline Guerra is the Branch Manager of the Belle Glade branch of First Bank. She is also the loan officer. Jackie originates mortgage loans as well as consumer loans. She has been with First Bank for over four years. Previously, she was a small business owner and operated Jackie’s Market, which was located in what used to be the Western Auto Plaza. Before that, she worked for her father who had Raul’s Market for over 30 years until he retired. Jackie has worked in Belle Glade for over 25 years. She grew up in Belle Glade and attended Lake Shore Middle School and Glades Central and says she has always felt at home in this town.

Rev. Steve Nolin, Director

Rev. Steve Nolin came to Belle Glade in 2013 from Orlando Florida where he lived since 1959. Prior to becoming a minster, he was a firefighter in Orange County Florida where he retired after 30 years of service. He is currently the minister at Community United Methodist Church, serves on several local boards and is a member of Rotary, Lions and the Glades Area Ministerial Association. He is also an active chaplain with Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. He and his wife Lori have two children and five grandchildren and enjoy living in Belle Glade.

Millie Rodriguez, Director

Millie Rodriguez moved from New York to Florida in 1992. She received a Bachelor’s Degree from IONA College in Social Work and also holds a Master’s Degree in Health Service Administration and Education from Phoenix University. She joined the C.L. Brumback Primary Care Clinic, which is run by the Health Care District of Palm Beach County, in 2013. Presently, Millie holds the position as a Patient-Physician Relation Liaison and oversees Outreach and Community Partnership. Prior to the C.L. Brumback Primary Care Clinic, she worked at the Florida Department of Health at the Belle Glade Clinic where she oversaw Volunteer Services and Health Education.

Shannon Sagan, Director

Shannon Sagan has been a chamber board member since 2012. He is a solo practitioner at Shannon J. Sagan, PA where he handles various types of injury cases and estate planning. Mr. Sagan received his B.A. in Legal studies at the University of Central Florida and his Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University in 2004. He has been practicing law since 2005 and holds positions on various boards throughout Palm Beach County and nationally.
